Gin Banxiae is the Umbrian London Dry Gin that tells a story: that of our region, its places and its scents. It is made with wild Umbrian juniper (one of the best in the world) gathered in hidden places, which we discover thanks to the advice of those who know the woods and hills around us. It is enriched by the lingering, balsamic taste of olive leaves and mellowed by Banksiae rose, which blooms every year from our 100-year-old plant. From the distillation process with a discontinuous still comes a London Dry Gin made entirely in Umbria, which pays homage with its name to the Banksiae rose. In every sip you will feel strong the bond with the incredible land from it comes from.
All gins have a common starting point, juniper. Then there are botanicals that appear frequently, such as coriander and angelica. To give character to our product we added helichrysum, pink pepper and two plants that are fundamental to us: the Banksiae rose, which blooms only once a year in spring, and the olive tree, which has a strong symbolic value and is characteristic of Umbria. A few ingredients that make all the difference in the world.
We personally hand-pick the 3 main botanicals of Banxiae Umbrian gin
(juniper berries, olive leaves and Banksiae rose petals), we put them into a
drying process, add the remainig essences of the bouquet used in the
discontinuous still distillation, finally the fruit of our labor is bottled in
elegant numbered and certified bottles with a minimalist design.
Even before making gin, we are gin lovers. We read up extensively on production techniques and decided to create a product
